Please carefully read the following terms and conditions before agreeing upon check out. You will receive this in an email as part of your check in instructions before arriving to Cliffhouse.
GUEST INFORMATION:
By clicking the submit button to make a reservation with Cliffhouse, you agree we will obtain your personal information such as your name(s), email address, phone number, credit card details and any notes you provide us. All information is stored in a secure database handled by Reservation Key. We do not store any data on this website or on our end. All information is handled by Reservation Key.
CLIFFHOUSE HOUSE RULES:
- Quiet hours shall be from 9pm to 8am, during which time the noise from the STVR (short-term vacation rental) unit shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors.
- Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with the residential area.
- Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area or space.
- The STVR shall not be used for commercial purposes.
HOSTED PROPERTIES:
In compliance with Hawai’i County Ordinance Number 2018-114, this property is a Hosted Rental Unit wherein the Property Owner has contracted with an onsite Caretaker who resides at the property. The Caretaker may assist with certain duties on the Property.
CONDITION OF PREMISES:
This property is privately owned. Should any major equipment or appliance malfunction, deficiencies shall be corrected as soon as possible during normal business hours. There will not be any refunds or adjustments. Please report all minor maintenance problems to your on-island caretaker or property manager.
INVENTORY:
All contents of the house, including books, CDs and DVDs, are provided for your full enjoyment for use during your stay. Please note: A full inventory of the house is taken. Please let us know ahead of time if something is broken or lost, it is very much appreciated.
HOUSEHOLD SUPPLIES:
An initial supply of soaps, cleaning supplies, paper goods and other necessities have been provided for your use. If your stay is more than a few days, you will likely need to pick up additional supplies during your visit.
CONSERVE ELECTRICITY:
The cost of electricity is extremely high in Hawaii. Please help conserve electricity by shutting off unused appliances, fans, lights etc. Please do NOT change any setting in the freezer or refrigerator.
NO SMOKING:
Guest agrees that there is to be no smoking in the properties, on any lanais, or on the property during occupancy. Guests will be responsible for any damage to the property caused by cigarettes and/or cigarette smoke. Extra cleaning fee will be charged.
NO SHOES IN THE HOUSE:
It is a tradition in Hawaii to remove your shoes before entering a home. Kindly remove shoes upon entering the home. If you need to wear footwear for medical reasons, please wear something with clean, soft soles to respect the care of flooring in the home. Mahalo!
NO PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED:
Please do not bring any animals in the home, regardless of how adorable they look. Local friends who visit may NOT bring pets into the house.
POOL AND HOT TUB:
PLEASE read and follow posted rules. Children must be supervised at all times. Pregnant women should use caution when using hot tubs. PLEASE handle the hot tub cover with care and COVER the hot tub immediately after each use to conserve energy! Every guest should rinse off before entering the pool or hot tub to maintain cleanliness. The pool and/or hot tub has an automatic pump cycle and cannot be changed.
FURNITURE:
Please do NOT move any furniture around to avoid damaging floors or furniture. Also, please use caution when eating or drinking near any furniture, upholstery, or bedding. Please do not put any wet clothes, bathing suits on the furniture. Interior furniture is to be used ONLY INSIDE.
CAUTION STAINS:
Self-tanning lotions and hair-growth products cause permanent discoloration of fabric. Before you risk ruining furniture or bedding, please wash off these products, thanks! SAND: Please shake out all of your towels and sandy clothes.
BEACH TOWELS:
Beach towels have been provided for your enjoyment. Please do not use the regular towels for the beach use. Remember to shake off sand before bringing them into the house to put in the washing machine.
BEACH EQUIPMENT:
Please rinse and return after each use. If the beach equipment is broken or does not work properly, please inform the property manager.
WASHER AND DRYER:
Please use with care. NEVER put sandy towels or shoes in the machines. This can result in damaging the machine. Please make sure the lint trap is cleaned after each dry cycle. Please do NOT sit on bedding or furniture with wetsuits and do NOT place towels on the furniture; they stain and cause mildew.
MAID SERVICES:
Maid service is not provided with your rental, unless otherwise specified in your rental agreement. Please call the property manager should you wish to schedule a mid-stay cleaning. Housekeeping is provided upon departure. SPILLS: Please clean up immediately!
YOUR SAFETY AND SECURITY:
When leaving the home unattended, or during the night, please close and lock all windows and doors. Be cautious with your personal belongings at all times.
NEIGHBORHOOD:
Please be thoughtful of neighbors, please keep music, noise etc. to a minimum from 9pm to 8am.
OCEAN:
Please remember that the ocean has a strong current and powerful surf. Swim at your own risk. Swimming at night is especially dangerous and should not be done by anyone. NEVER turn your back on the ocean within close proximity to the waves. Rogue waves can knock you down and pull you out to sea!
PARKING:
Please park in your designated parking areas. Please be respectful of the neighbors and do not block driveways, sidewalks or mailboxes.
PARTIES/EVENTS:
This reservation is for quiet residential vacation use only. Therefore, parties, receptions, luaus, events and gatherings of any size or kind are strictly prohibited unless agreed to in your contract with Cliffhouse.
TROPICAL PESTS:
This home is regularly treated for pests. In the tropics, however, they can’t always be avoided. Please keep food in air-tight containers; dispose of food scraps in Ziploc or tied plastic bags; do not leave dirty dishes out for extended periods. Special care should also be taken to dispose of diapers in airtight Ziplocs or bags. While most of the pests are harmless, please stay away from our centipedes, which have a nasty sting and can be dangerous.

CHILDREN AND EXTRA BEDS
- Children are welcome.
- Roll-away/extra beds are not available.
- Cribs (infant beds) are not available.
- Den has a queen size sofa bed.

- Check-in time ends at 11:30 PM
- Minimum check-in age is 21
- Host greets you upon arrival
CHECK-OUT
- Check-out time is 10 AM
- Additional fee can be charge if check-out time is past 10 AM
